Our services include connecting property and casualty insurance products to clients in Texas - from small to medium-size businesses, and non-profits, to personal home & auto clients. We focus on delivering value and quality, over quantity - with every client, and in everything we do.

Our first objective is to help clients purchase and maintain that first level of protection (insurance). Our second objective is to provide a free resource (newsletter subscription) aimed to help our clients build and plan other layers of defense to mitigate risk above & beyond the insurance policy.

About The Founder / Agent
The Founder, President & Primary Agent, Mark Hanson, gets a kick out of life simply by helping others thrive. He is a proud father of three grown kiddos: two daughters and a son.

He served 20 years in the USAF. Throughout his tenure, his responsibilities required him to learn and master a wide spectrum of technical and administrative positions. He worked several years as an Aircraft Mechanic, a few years as a Financial Manager / Budget Analyst, a Squadron Commander's "Resource Advisor", and the last few years as a Facilities Superintendent, Facilities Project Planner / Manager for an Aircraft Maintenance Industrial Complex's 210 facilities. These facilities were a mix of aircraft hangers, aircraft maintenance & operations support back shops, administrative, and HQ facilities.
After retiring from the USAF in 2014, he worked for a water boiler manufacturer as a technical support specialist for about 5 years. Then as a Building Automation / HVAC Controls Specialist for a few years until his parents' declining health condition prompted him to drop everything and dive in to help them care for the daily in-home care they needed.

After a year of providing home care, Mark was inspired by his brother-in-law (now retired after 30+ years as an Insurance Agent) to take up Insurance as an Independent Agent.
​
In 2023, Skytten Insurance Group LLC was established.
